Room 311a

Room 311 is located on the third floor of the hotel.  The room is a two-bedroom suite separated by an interior doorway and is more spacious than the two-bedroom Family Suite of Room 212 or 314.  The main bedroom features a king size bed, a stand-up wardrobe, plus an original antique dresser and mirror, an original antique writing desk and a sitting area with leather love seat and seasonal decorations.

The second bedroom features two twin-beds and and an original antique dresser and mirror.  This newly renovated room retains the original antique wall sconces, push button light switches with brass plates and cast iron steam registers from 1918.  The master bedroom features two original water-color paintings by Priscilla Montgomery, a mid-twentieth century New England artist who reportedly stayed at the Herbert Grand Hotel one-week per summer for several years.  Local historians contend that the natural beauty of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Bigelow Mountains were the inspiration for many of her works of art. Vintage early 20th Century reproduction advertising artwork adorns the walls in the second bedroom.  The room is perfect for a family ski vacation at  Sugarloaf  or hiking the Appalachian Trail. As with all of the rooms at the Herbert Grand Hotel, Room 311 was renovated in 2016 and features free WiFi and a private bathroom.  The bathroom features a pedestal sink and shower and tub combo.
